PERFORMENCE is strong b/w 1400-2700rpm.MILEAGE-10.5 in city and 16 on highways(driven at 80kmph in fifth gear). 3.SUSPENSION : highly sofisticated . superb balance of ride and handling. 4.SAFETY: typical toyota standards . side doors are protected with alloy cross-section beams. I DEFINITLY RECOMMEND INNOVA!!!. UNCOMPARABLE TO SCORPIO,TAVERA AND SAFARI.

Good one to own.
I own a WagonR for the past 8 months, and these are the pros and cons that I have observed in my car in this period. The things I like about my car. 1) Reclining seats - even the rear seats recline almost completely. So much so that you can make a bed out of the front and rear seats, very comfy if you have a loved one accompanying you on a long drive and wants to rest. 2) Dashboard - Some serious thinking from Maruti for the everyday car user here. Cubbyholes and holders all around, and hooks that can take your shopping bag! Loads of space there. 3) Driveabilty - "The car" if you live in a city with loads of traffic. Easily snakes thru traffic. Very comfortable to drive. 4) Space - Being a tall boy design, there is loads of space for the occupants. But the car is made for four people only (including the driver). so add one more person at the back, and you are looking for some joint and back pain if you plan to go outside the city. Now the cons: 1) Side mirrors are a joke. They are more like shaving mirrors than rear view mirrors. I am currently evaluating options to replace them with sensible rear view mirrors. 2) Space for speakers - well, there isnt any. Finally mounted the rear speakers on the back door of the car, and there is no space at all for the 12" subwoofer that I was planning to install. Sad. 3) The build is a tad tinny. What with Maruti employing (probably) the same sheet metal for the WagonR as the 800... Thanks for reading my review. HTH.
Real thoughts about the Car

This is one of the most non preffered car by me but when i drove it,it simply changed all my previous thoughts. It has got a good high mount sitting position which really makes it very easy to manoveur yourself in the city.smallest of potholes are visible. The smart new car has got a smarter engine too. But those who cannot understand the meaning of flat torque & its usage than it will be a nightmare for them to understand & will complain of its poor gear shifts.the beauty lies here there is no need to change the gears whether you accelerate or decelerate. The cars torque will take care of it & you will also be less tired with regards gear shifts in the city traffic. The interiors are well appointed with nice rooomy feel to it. The only bad part is that it has provision for 2 speakers only. The EPS is simply great & it automatically switches off once you cross 70 kph & then you will feel the car heavier to turn thus assuring the safety at high speeds. The max speed that car can touch is around 157 kph but with a risk as car feels slight unstaedy over 128 kph. The DUO simply lacks the power & pick up compared to its petrol sibling.
But believe me the wagon R simply glides on the road & the back seaters wont be disappointed as well. The Fuel economy is great with 12.9/ l & 18/l in city & highway depending your style of driving. The wagon r will also fetch you good on resale compared to other cars in its class.
I have recently booked one & i am waiting for its Delivery hope that it would live upto my expecatation which i received during driving the DEMO version
Last but not least always take care with regads safety of youself & those around you.

WagonR scores over Santro
Before purchasing this car I tried santro as well as xeta.xeta is a big flop.Santro & WagonR both are equally good but wagon R wins in terms of looks, city driving & fuel average.I am very much satisfied by the tall boy concept. This makes it very spacious & driving is very smooth.Except for gear shifting, wagonR scores high in all the other creterias
A good, not soo bad, and now not soo Ugly - Wagon

With the objective of buying a new car, I recently testdrove the Wangon R Lxi. Its a good car for a family of 4. Not more. And if you are planning on relatives then the kids better stay at home. It helps having a small car these days, especially ones that women can drive easily ( im married soo...), and this is one car they will surely love, maybe not for its looks but for its handling in traffic. Its a breeze. So if ur wife knows how to drive and if you feel it is a good idea to share the wheel once in a while then u shud look at this. Its much more refined than a santro in more ways than one.
Here are my observations.
Its got good interiors, handles well, can seat 4 comfortably (5 is a lie) and has good economy. The suspension smothers bumps reasonably well for a small car ( no where near the palio). Its easy to maintain, offers good economy and good resale. The gearshift is vague and imprecise. But u'll manage if you are a sedate driver. The engine has a good torque spread so pulling off in lower gear is not a problem even with the a/c on. The EPS takes away from the steering feel, but then this is not a sports car and so is fine. It is this feature that is a boon in traffic. The A/C is great in summer. But the blower does announce its hard work at higher speeds. Best maintained at 2 mark for a quiet cabin.
Anyone taller than 5.10 and with a foot size of 9 - 10 ( im 6F) wud find the accelerator pedal placement funny. Your foot sits at a weird angle to the pedal and my ankle gave me trouble in the short 30 min span. ( is there anyone else out here who has experienced this..? ). The seats are small car like as in an Alto and dont offer great support. But thats manageable. The pedal placement in the Santro is worse, with the brake and the accelerator close to each other. Braking on the wagon is good with sure stops.
Spirited driving is not what u should look for. It serves the purpose of an easy point A-B commute in the city, in space, comfort and economy and for the occasional weekend getaway with the family.
Its a great car if these are your requirements. A personal suggestion, change to slightly broader tyres of the same size. It wud help its manners.
The Lxi is a value for money option and make sure u get a few freebies from the dealer.
Hope you found this useful.
will be back with another review on another car soon.
cheers!
